In the upcoming 48 Hours; our country Nigeria,will be thrown into wild jubilation, merrymaking, Thanksgiving,etc. Different youth groups will dress in Green White Green attire.Picknics,night parties,concerts will be conducted on October 1st. The academics and intellectuals will  celebrate the day by organising symposium, conference and feature on NTA, CHANNELS TV,TVC,ARISE TV,TRUST etc to give a pep talk not to lament . Local and international radio stations will air special programme on Naija @65.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory,Abuja, Barrister Nyesom Wike will be at Eagle Square to monitor school children's parade. Meanwhile, in the afternoon,all our beautiful first ladies across the 36 Capitals will host school children for a party.

1st October is meant to be celebrated for many reasons:

1. For defeating colonial masters.

2. For defeating Biafra secessionists .

3. For triumphing over ethnic ireedentists,regionalists and merchants of death.

4. For sustaining electoral democracy 

5.for implementing numerous infrastructural facilities 

6. For contributing to peacekeeping and peace enforcement in Liberia,Sierra Leone,DR. Congo, Guinea-Bissau and Gambia.

7. For contributing to the liberation of sister African countries from colonialism 

8. For  achieving cultural supremacy through the instruments of Music and films especially, Afrobeat and Nollywood 

9. For having the most vibrant diaspora population.

10. For defying all the predictions by prophets of doom
