The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Katsina has issued a traffic advisory following the discovery of a damaged bridge and eroded road pavements that pose risks to motorists in parts of the state.
According to the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell K. Lede, the damaged bridge was identified along the Katsina–Dutsinma road, immediately after Yargamji village, during a routine patrol and road audit conducted by FRSC officers.
The audit also revealed environmental safety concerns on the Katsina–Kano road, where sections of the pavement have been eroded at Kasuwar Albasa village, Abukur village, and Tudun Kabir village.
Commander Lede urged motorists to remain vigilant and exercise caution while driving through the affected areas to avoid accidents.
He stressed that the FRSC is committed to safeguarding road users through early warnings, timely advisories, and continuous interventions aimed at reducing crashes and improving safety across highways.
