NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) has signed a new Natural Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with CCETC Suk Power Limited, paving the way for the supply of up to 44 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscf/d).

The agreement, announced during the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Business Development Forum held in Abuja on Thursday, marks a significant expansion of NGML’s gas portfolio. It is in addition to an earlier supply contract with GasHub Nigeria Limited.

According to NGML, the latest development is part of a broader strategy to scale up gas availability for power generation and liquefied natural gas (LNG) production in Nigeria. It also reinforces the Federal Government’s commitment to transitioning the country into a gas-powered economy under the "Decade of Gas" initiative.

The AKK Business Development Forum, held under the theme “AKK Pipeline Progress Update & Opportunities Engagement”, served as a key platform for stakeholders to engage on the ongoing AKK Gas Pipeline Project. The project is expected to drive industrial growth, improve energy access, and catalyse economic development across the country.

NGML says its expanding footprint in the gas value chain aligns with national goals to provide cleaner, more reliable energy solutions to homes and industries.
