Saudi Firm Applauds Katsina Government for Successful 2025 Hajj Operations

The Katsina State Government has received commendation for its effective coordination and welfare support to pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj exercise, earning praise from a leading Saudi-based Pilgrims Welfare Organisation, Mashaariq Al-Dhahabiah Company.

The recognition came during an award presentation ceremony in Saudi Arabia, where the company honoured the Deputy Governor of Katsina State and Amirul Hajj for the 2025 pilgrimage, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, with an Award of Excellence and Appreciation.

Chairman and CEO of the company, Sheikh Zuheir Banjabi, applauded the Amirul Hajj’s dedication to the welfare of the Katsina pilgrims. He cited his frequent visits, engagements, and direct interactions with pilgrims at various stages of the Hajj as a mark of exemplary leadership.

The company also lauded the intervention of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, who personally visited the pilgrims at the Mina camp. Notable among the government's welfare measures were the payment of Hadaya (sacrificial animal fees) for all pilgrims and the disbursement of 300 riyals as Sallah gift to each pilgrim — gestures the company described as morale-boosting and impactful.

Sheikh Banjabi noted that the humility and commitment shown by the state's leadership helped improve the overall experience of the pilgrims, enabling them to fulfil their religious obligations with comfort and peace of mind.

He further urged the Katsina State Government to begin early preparations for the 2026 Hajj, especially in securing improved accommodation in Mina and other key sites.

In his response, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe expressed appreciation to Mashaariq Al-Dhahabiah Company for the recognition and praised the company for providing reliable transport and accommodation services to the state’s pilgrims.

He assured that the Katsina State Government would commence early planning for subsequent Hajj operations to sustain and enhance the quality of service delivery to its pilgrims.
