Federal Lawmaker Balele Kurfi Commiserates with Gobirawa Community Over Tragic Incident in Dutsin-Ma

Honourable Aminu Balele Kurfi, popularly known as “Dan Arewa” and representing Dutsin-Ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has paid a condolence visit to the people of Gobirawa in Kuki Ward, Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State, following a tragic incident that recently affected the area.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was in response to a devastating occurrence that reportedly led to the loss of lives and destruction of property, leaving several families in deep sorrow and uncertainty.
During his visit, Hon. Balele expressed profound sympathy to the victims and their families, describing the incident as a painful reminder of the urgent need to strengthen the security architecture across vulnerable communities. He reassured the residents that both the federal and state governments are working tirelessly behind the scenes to improve security and deliver lasting solutions.
“There are efforts currently ongoing that may not be publicly disclosed due to the sensitive nature of security operations,” the lawmaker stated.
In an emotional appeal presented during the visit, members of the Gobirawa community called for urgent intervention in areas such as electricity supply and other essential needs to ease the burden on affected families. Responding swiftly, Hon. Balele directed the Vice Chairman of the local government to take immediate action and ensure the demands are addressed without delay.
To further demonstrate his commitment, the lawmaker donated ₦1.3 million as emergency relief to support those directly impacted by the tragedy. The donation, he noted, is aimed at providing temporary relief while broader support efforts are being coordinated.
Following the visit to Gobirawa, Hon. Balele proceeded to tour several other villages within Kuki Ward, offering words of comfort and support to residents affected by similar challenges. His unannounced night visits and direct engagement with the people were met with heartfelt appreciation.
Local residents lauded his compassion and proactive approach, describing him as a leader who does not only speak but acts with genuine concern. Many prayed for divine rewards for his gesture and urged other political leaders to emulate his hands-on style of governance.
