The Katsina State Police Command has successfully thwarted a kidnap attempt in Mazare village, Sabuwa Local Government Area, rescuing four victims, including three women and a baby girl.
According to a press release signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at about 12:21 a.m. when suspected armed bandits launched an attack on the community.
During the attack, two male residents—Sa’idu Isa (37) and Sa’idu Wa’alam (61)—were shot and injured by the assailants, who went on to abduct the four victims.
