SSG, Chief of Staff, ALGON Executives Attend Funeral of Late Bakori LG Chairman

Top government functionaries and political stakeholders across Katsina State converged on Bakori town on Tuesday morning to attend the funeral of the late Chairman of Bakori Local Government Area, Alhaji Aminu Danhamidu, who died on Monday night, June 9, after a brief illness.

The funeral prayer was conducted at 11:00 a.m. in accordance with Islamic rites and was led by the Chief Imam of Bakori, Sheikh Sa’ad Sani Imam. The event drew a large crowd comprising family members, associates, government officials, and residents, all united in grief and respect for the late chairman.

Alhaji Danhamidu was widely described as a humble and selfless leader, known for his tireless dedication to the development of his local government and his commitment to peace and grassroots progress. He was eulogized by many as a man of integrity who served his people with compassion and sincerity.

Prayers were offered for Allah’s mercy upon his soul, with calls for his admittance into Aljannatul Firdaus.

His death has been described as a major loss not only to the people of Bakori but also to Katsina State at large, where he was recognised as a bridge-builder and dependable public servant.

Dignitaries at the funeral included the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; National ALGON Chairman, Engr. Bello Kaita; ALGON Katsina State Chairman, Hon. Rabo Tambaya Danja; Chairman of Katsina Local Government and ALGON State Secretary, Hon. Isah Miqdad A.D. Saude; as well as several local government chairmen, members of the State Executive Council, religious scholars, senior civil servants, security personnel, and political stakeholders.

The high turnout reflected the profound impact Alhaji Danhamidu had on his community and the deep void his demise has left behind.
