Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, has today paid a visit to pilgrims from the state currently performing the 2025 Hajj in Mina, Saudi Arabia.
Governor Radda was received at the pilgrims’ tents by the Amirul Hajj and Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal, who led him through the facilities. The governor expressed delight over the warm reception and commended the pilgrims for their exemplary behaviour and discipline throughout the religious exercise.
He congratulated them for the opportunity to fulfil one of the pillars of Islam and called on them to intensify prayers for lasting peace, improved security, and continued development in Katsina State and Nigeria at large.
The governor also appealed to relevant Hajj authorities to consider the provision of more comfortable accommodation for Nigerian pilgrims in future Hajj exercises. He assured the pilgrims of the state government’s continued support to ensure successful and stress-free participation in the annual pilgrimage.
The pilgrims expressed gratitude to Governor Radda for his visit, the payment of their Hadaya (sacrificial animal) fees, and the gift of 300 Saudi Riyals given to each of them.
The Katsina pilgrims are expected to conclude their Hajj rites on Monday with the symbolic stoning of the devil at Jamrat.
