A delegation from the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund - NSITF, led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mr. Olawaseun Mayomi Faleye, today, 15th May 2025, visited the Headquarters of the National Population Commission (NPC) in Abuja. The delegation was warmly received by the Director-General of NPC, Dr. Osifo Tellson Ojogun, on behalf of NPC Chairman Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra.

The meeting aimed to establish a strategic partnership between the NPC and NSITF, focusing on enhancing collaboration in demographic data sharing, awareness campaigns, joint research initiatives, and capacity building.

The NSITF, established under the Employees' Compensation Act of 2010, is tasked with providing compensation to employees affected by workplace injuries, diseases, disabilities, or fatalities.

This partnership seeks to leverage reliable and evidence-based data generated by the NPC to inform NSITF's decision-making processes, ultimately leading to more effective and equitable service delivery across Nigeria.

Both organizations expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting the critical role of data-driven approaches in enhancing social welfare and protecting workers' rights in the country.

The meeting was attended by various directors from the NPC, underscoring the commitment of both organizations to this important initiative.
