The Chairman of Katsina Local Government, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude, paid a strategic visit to the Katsina State office of the China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, in a bid to strengthen ties and attract infrastructural support for key development projects within the local government area.

During the visit, Hon. Miqdad met with Mr. Sun, the head of CCECC in Katsina, where he requested the company's support in executing crucial community development initiatives. These include the construction of drainage systems, culverts, and the renovation of the local government offices, among other projects aimed at improving the area's infrastructure.

Hon. Miqdad praised the company’s ongoing road expansion project from Muhammadu Dikko Central Mosque to the WTC Roundabout, commending the quality and pace of work as it nears completion.

Mr. Sun expressed delight over the chairman’s visit and assured him of the company’s willingness to contribute to Katsina Local Government’s development efforts within its capacity. He also described Hon. Miqdad as a long-standing partner of the company, recalling his previous role as the Special Assistant on Media to the Governor of Katsina State, where he supported CCECC's initiatives.
