NPFL Chairman Elegbeleye Joins IBB Golf Club Interim Management Board

The Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, has been appointed as a member of the Interim Management Board of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Golf Club in Abuja.

According to a statement signed by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, the appointment of Elegbeleye and other board members, led by Dr Peter Deshi, was approved by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Elegbeleye, a former member of the House of Representatives, has been credited with the transformation of the NPFL and is expected to bring his leadership experience and expertise to his new role at the prestigious golf club.

Other members of the board include Barrister Yomi Oyekola, who will serve as Secretary, alongside Arc. Nanwor Mamven, Arc. Arabi Bello, Mrs. Ekanem Ekwueme, Lawan Aboki, Okey Nnaedozie, Fred Otobo, and Julius Fadairo.

While congratulating the appointees, Wike urged them to work diligently towards repositioning the IBB Golf Club for greater excellence.

The board is expected to assume duties immediately.
