In an interview with Katsina Times on Thursday, April 17, 2025, Alhaji Lawal Faskari expressed his gratitude for the recently concluded Local Government Chairman  election in Katsina State. He noted that this marks a historic first for the state, with elections being conducted over this extended period. Our state is proud to be among the first to hold an election over the course of 365 days,” stated Alhaji Lawal Alhassan Faskari, Chairman of the Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission (KTSIEC).

Faskari extended his appreciation to Governor Dikko Umar Radda for his unwavering support and for ensuring a peaceful, violence-free election by deploying security agencies throughout the process. He also thanked the citizens for their cooperation and active participation before, during, and after the election.
