Abuja, Nigeria – 25th Ramadan 1446AH / 2025G
The final Ramadan Tafseer session for this year was held today at Annoor Masjid, Wuse II, Abuja, where Sheikh Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON (Majidadin Daular Usmaniyya) delivered an insightful commentary on Chapter 3, Verses 183-184 of the Glorious Qur’an.
During the session, Sheikh Pantami highlighted several key lessons from the verses:
1. False Attributions to Allah – He explained that some among the Yahud made statements falsely attributing them to Allah, but the Qur’an categorically refutes such claims.
2. Persecution of Prophets – Many of Allah’s Prophets (peace be upon them) were killed simply for conveying the truth. This, he noted, underscores the challenges of speaking the truth, especially in societies that lack accountability.
3. Rejection of Messengers – He referenced Qur’an 6:34, which states that previous Messengers were denied and harmed, but they remained patient until Allah’s help arrived. This, he said, is a lesson for contemporary scholars and leaders.
4. Universal Rejection of Prophets – Every Prophet of Allah faced some level of rejection, a reality that continues to apply to scholars and those who uphold the truth.
5. Government’s Responsibility – Sheikh Pantami urged authorities at all levels to prioritize the welfare and security of citizens. He cited Section 14 (2)(b) of the Nigerian Constitution, which mandates the government to ensure the well-being of the people. He called for empowerment initiatives to enhance citizens’ capacities.
Concluding the session, Sheikh Pantami prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the Muslim Ummah, asking that all believers reap the rewards of Ramadan.
