A high-level delegation from the National Team Abuja of the TESS project, under the Monitoring Unit, and the National Team of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), visited Katsina State to assess the renovation of 150 primary schools across the state.
The delegation, led by Mr. Joe, was warmly received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Ummulkhairi Ahmed Bawa, who welcomed them on behalf of the Honorable Commissioner, Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa.
Hajiya Bawa commended the National Team of the TESS project for their partnership in advancing the education sector, aligning with Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda's administration's commitment to improving education in Katsina State.
In his remarks, Mr. Joe expressed appreciation to the Katsina State Government for its collaboration and support of the TESS project. He acknowledged the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for their dedication to ensuring the successful execution of the projects. He also lauded the Katsina State Management Team, led by Hajiya Binta Abdulmumini, for adhering to national guidelines in project implementation.
During the monitoring visit, the delegation noted key observations and provided recommendations for further improvements, despite expressing satisfaction with the overall project standards. They assured that Katsina State would receive additional projects in the near future.
Dignitaries present at the event included Hon. Nura Sale Katsayal, Special Adviser to the Governor on Education; Salisu Yakubu, Director of Administration and Supply; Dr. Kabir Magaji Gafia, SUBEB Chairman; and senior officials from the ministry.
The event took place at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education's conference hall on March 26, 2025.
