Radda Hails APC's Sweeping Victory in Katsina Council Elections

KATSINA, FEBRUARY 16, 2025 - Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated the 34 newly elected local government chairmen in the state, following Saturday's council elections.

The Governor praised the peaceful and transparent electoral process, describing it as a milestone in the state's democracy journey. "The peaceful conduct of yesterday's elections is a show of maturity of our democracy and the commitment of our people to peaceful political participation," Governor Radda said.

The APC's sweeping victory across the local governments, according to Governor Radda, reflects public confidence in the party's governance. He emphasized that the overwhelming mandate validates the noticeable investments made in the people of Katsina State and the various development projects initiated since assuming office.

Governor Radda urged the chairmen-elect to align with the state's "Building Your Future" agenda, replicate the development framework at the grassroots level, and prioritize inclusive governance. He also charged them to uphold the party's reputation through transparent leadership, zero tolerance for corruption, and effective utilization of local government autonomy.

The Governor expressed appreciation to the people of Katsina State for their belief in the APC, demonstrated by the massive votes at the polls. Governor Radda wishes the newly elected officials a successful stay in office.
