The first article on this topic was shared on the social media. The explanation is primarily for those who have not read or missed the first installment. In that article which was written on January 6th, 2025, I stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was determined to break the backbone of the Northern region to ensure his ‘reelection’ in 2027.
In the previous write up, I said, among other things, that, “The support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu enjoys from Ohaineze Igbo for his policies and reelection in 2027 is in the interest of the region’s secession agenda, as evident in the perennial battle for the soul of Lagos, between Yorubas, who see themselves as natives of the land, and the Igbos, who see themselves as the builders of the place.
“Then Senator Tinubu’s loss of the 2023 Presidential election to Peter Obi, an Igbo and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos, where Tinubu was the first elected civilian governor of the Fourth Republic, is proof of that old age animosity between the two tribes
“However, the two tribes are all of a sudden chummy, with the president backing a son of the area in Senator Godswill Akpabio for the Senate Presidency, which makes the former Akwa Ibom governor, the number three man in the hierarchy of power in the country. In case his trustworthiness is capable of taking him to anywhere but behind bars, the famous errant son of Justice Oputa (late), Charlie Boy, commonly known as Area Fada, once described the Senate President as “one of our worst” in the East.
“The Works Minister and former Governor of Ibonyi State, Mr. David Umahi, is from the region, as is the influential Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (Mr. Nyson Wike), himself a former Governor of Rivers State in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“The minister even went to the unheard lengths of hiring six Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) to go to the court and file a counter suit to deny the request of some groups to have access to the files of the humongous (N15.6 trillion or $13 billion) Lagos to Calabar Coastal Highway contract awarded by the President singlehandedly to a company alleged to be half owned by his son”.
“The hostility towards the Northern Region reached to a point where the minister only goes to the North to serve NOT the region’s interest. The minister only has time for the region when he go to campaign for the reelection of the president in 2027, or to cancel ongoing projects under his ministry that have the potential to impact on the people in the region”.
“A Yoruba insider claimed that “President Bola Tinubu had no plan to build any other campus, but just a part of the strategy to move the college from Zaria to Yoruba land, in order to make the South West the thriving aviation capital of Africa, claimed a Yoruba insider who knows the in and out of the aviation industry.
“Immediately he came into office, the President sacked all Arewa Directors in the aviation industry, and replaced them with his Yoruba Kinsmen. He appointed Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku as the Managing Director, Mr Adetunji Odunowo as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, and Professor Charles Anosike as the Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET). “Mr. Joseph Shaka Imalighwe was appointed as the Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) and Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), is Captain Chris Najomo, with The Minister of Aviation, another Yoruba man, in the person of Mr Festus Keyamo.
“Another of his staunch anti North ministers, began his assignment with a promise to “deal with any cow that passes through the Federal Capital (FC), erroneously believing that ALL the grazing cows belong to the so called ‘Hausa/Fulani people. He was immediately called to order by the real owners (mostly Southerners, and other non Hausa/Fulani ‘big people’).
“The same minister vowed to “Remove the National Mosque from its cite”, claiming that it was built on an earlier designated road within the Federal Capital. That vow , became impossible for him to fulfil, because he was later to find out that not all the users of the Mosque are his hated Hausa/Fulani Muslims”.
The president is seen to be constantly recognition and encouraging the so called Middle Belt Forum (MBF), a North Central collision against North Western Muslims. It is so called, because it was solely created for, and to serve, religious, not political purposes. But for Plateu and Benue states, all the other states in the forum have a Muslim dominated majority. Yet, there is no Muslim among the top hierarchy of its leadership.
And just last week, the South Western Muslims wrote to the Sultan of Sokoto telling him that he does not represent them, as he is not the representative of all Muslims in Nigeria. This is obviously a letter written at the behest of the President or someone close to him.
There are also many ‘accidental’ bombing by the Nigerian Airforce on Muslims in the North West in the name of fighting bandits in the region, forcing some groups and individuals to allege that it was a systematic religious cleansing by the Nigerian government against the Muslim people in the Northern region.
The deliberate denial of electricity to most states in the Northern Region supported by the retention of the Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, despite his obvious failure in his assignment, an area which the president once told the “Nigerian voters not vote for me for a second term, if I fail to provide electricity to Nigeria in my first year as your president”.
Instead of getting a reprieve, most citizens are being supplied with more DARKNESS in place of LIGHT, despite the alleged removal of electricity subsidy and the continuing increases in electricity tariff by the present regime. This development gave birth to the so called ‘ Band A’.
No leader in the history of Nigeria has deliberately tried to divide the country into two nations. But President Tinubu is doing just that, supporting the Southern region part of the country against its Northern region counterpart, with the active open and covert support of some extremely self serving Northerners.
Northerners like the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume and Dr. AbdulLahi Umar Ganduje, should tell us the contribution they have made to the development of the country in general, and the Northern region in particular. Apart from the massive corruption that defined their tenures in the various offices they have held, there is pretty little to show for their being in those offices.
They, their immediate family, and the sycophants who surround them, are the only beneficiaries of the present abjectly corrupt regime that they are insisting the Northern presidential hopefuls “to abandon their 2027 aspiration and “allow Tinubu to do a second term, before the power rotates back to the North.
This writer has not always been against Ganduje, called by some people ‘GANDOLLAR’, neither have I been against Tinubu who, as I noted in an earlier article, was the subject of many favourable write ups from me before I realised he was not the messiah he pretended, and presented himself, to be.
Like I did for Tinubu as a Presidential aspirant, as a Presidential candidate, and as President of Nigeria, so did I write some favourable articles about Dr. Ganduje, in the hope that he would positively guide the ruling party to greater heights, leading to more success in future elections and giving democracy the additional boost, for it to always have the right of refusal when it comes to the citizens’s prepared choice of the system of government.
But the recognition came to me later that President Tinubu and the Chairman of the ruling party, Dr. Ganduje, were soul mates in corruption, to prove the truism of the physics phrase, ‘like matter attracts like, and unlike matter attracts unlike matter’ (whatever that means), or something similar to that. As I severally noted in the past, I read HUMANITIES, because yours sincerely did not (still do not) have the head for the difficult social sciences, not to mention the more difficult to comprehend subjects of the pure science.
The nation’s number one citizen, and the ruling party number one person automatically attracts one another, in an unholy bond of corruption that leaves the country the worst for it, a devastating development that all sincere compatriots would readily agree with.
President Tinubu has ensured that ALL six geopolitical zones in the country have a development commission, with three in the North and three in the South. And the one in the North West has the son of the APC’s National Chairman as a member, for no reason other than that he is who he is, the son of Dr. GANDOLLAR. The GANDOLLAR allegation is still to be resolved by the courts.
Someone has rightly stated that, “President Tinubu is uniting entire South and North Central against the so called core North, exaggerating none existing stand off with core Northern groups opposing his 2027 bid. He is also alleged to be plotting to substitute Vice President Kashim Shettima with a Northern Christian to appease North Central and the rest of South, thus pitching them more against Northern Muslims”.
Although he is not Nigeria’s number one citizen to openly campaign for a particular religion, President Tinubu is however, doing just that, uniting followers of other faiths against Islam. He has also, more or less, succeeded in ‘converting’ some weak Muslims into to money lovers at the expense of their everlasting tomorrow. Some of them have openly opposed the Devine Commandments of God, choosing to do as they pleased with their lives in the name of ‘enlightenment’.
In the contentious tax reform bill, the president has inserted a ‘correction’ to what God Has directed in the sharing of a deceased wealth. In His Majestic Wisdom, God does not include the government. But President Tinubu wants the government to be one of the beneficiaries of a deceased wealth.
Some others consider God’s words in the Holy Quran, and Prophet Muhammadu’s Hadiths as ‘hearsay’. They all got their false, misleading and misplaced ‘courage’ from their leader, who insists on doing ‘correcting’ God in the new tax reform bill.
Meanwhile, as the electorates in Katsina state gear up to go to the polls tomorrow for the Local Government election, it is hoped that the write up by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, is not ‘Kite Flying’ on the outcome of the election.
Early last week, the press secretary wrote a piece in which he ‘saw’ the victory of a the ruling party because the governor of the state has gathered all the political heavyweights in APC, and it would therefore not be a surprise if the party wins all or most of the contested seats in the upcoming local government elections.
May God remove from our hearts the feeling of jealousy of the favours that He has blessed others with. May He not make us among those whose delight is to cause more suffering, misery, pain and hardship to others.
