The newly inaugurated Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in Katsina State, Aminu Ahmad Rahamawa, has stated that Katsina remains the most efficient state in fuel distribution across Nigeria.

Rahamawa made this remark on Thursday, February 13, 2025, during the swearing-in ceremony of the new IPMAN executives in Katsina State. The event was held at the Aldusar Conference Hall in Katsina.

In his address, Rahamawa attributed the smooth fuel supply in the state to the association’s commitment to ensuring public welfare. He acknowledged that some fuel marketers prioritize community service over profit, considering the prevailing economic challenges.

He assured stakeholders of significant progress under his leadership, pledging to enhance fuel marketing operations in the state.

Rahamawa also urged the government to provide the association with a functional secretariat to facilitate its activities and modernize the petroleum sector.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the National IPMAN representative, Hannafi Aminu, former Katsina IPMAN Chairman Abbas Sani Hamza Mai Goro, and Damarna Group Chairman Alhaji Dahiru Usman Sarki. Also present were representatives from the Katsina State Police Command and the Nigeria Customs Service, alongside other distinguished guests.
