The Chairman of National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, fnsa, held a significant meeting today, 5th February 2025, at the NPC Headquarters in Abuja with key representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Lafiya UK and Nigeria Partnership for a Healthier Future.
Ms. Shivani Haria, the Country Representative for FCDO Nigeria, and Dr. Usman Gwarzo, the National Team Leader for the Lafiya UK and Nigeria Partnership for a Healthier Future, engaged with Hon. Kwarra in discussions aimed at fostering potential partnerships focused on leveraging Nigeria's demographic dividend. The primary objective of these collaborations is to enhance the standard of living and promote sustainable development for all Nigerians.
The dialogue also delved into critical topics surrounding population management and development strategies, emphasizing the importance of effectively addressing Nigeria's demographic challenges to unlock its full potential.
Attendees at the meeting included NPC Director-General Dr. Osifo Tellson Ojogun, Director of Population Management and Development, Mr. Ahmed Yahaya Doma, along with other management staff.
