Residents of Layin Nabukka Appeal for Urgent Social Amenities

Residents of Layin Nabukka village in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State have called on the government to address the severe lack of essential social amenities in their community.

In a statement signed by Yusuf Abubakar Nabukka on behalf of the village, the residents expressed appreciation for the government's efforts but highlighted critical challenges affecting their daily lives.

They lamented the poor state of their primary healthcare facility, which makes access to medical care difficult, particularly for pregnant women and emergency cases. Similarly, the village’s only primary school, which serves over ten surrounding communities, has not been renovated since the 1990s, hindering effective learning.

The residents also decried the deplorable condition of their roads, despite being less than five kilometers from Funtua and Dutsareme, stating that it affects trade, daily activities, and access to essential services.

They urged the government to intervene urgently by renovating and equipping the healthcare center, rehabilitating the school, and improving the road network to enhance their quality of life.
