NAHCON Announces 2025 Hajj Fare

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially announced the Hajj fare for the 2025 pilgrimage season. The disclosure was made under the leadership of the Commission's Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, following approval from the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria.

The fare announcement is a result of extensive consultations and collaborative efforts by NAHCON, representatives of the Presidency, and the Forum of State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards. Among the notable contributors were Malam Ameen Amshi, Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, and the Forum's leadership, including its Chairman, Malam Idris Ahmad Almakura, who is also the Executive Secretary (E.S) of the Nasarawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, as well as Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro, Deputy Chairman of the Forum and E.S of Kebbi State, and Alhaji Abubakar Salihu, Secretary of the Forum and E.S of Adamawa State.

The concerted efforts ensured that the Hajj fare remains within a reasonable range, reflecting a commitment to affordability for Nigerian pilgrims.

The approved fares for the 2025 Hajj are as follows:

  • Borno and Adamawa Zones: N8,327,125.59
  • Southern States: N8,784,085.59
  • Northern Zone: N8,457,685.59

Professor Saleh described the fare as a product of inclusivity and collaboration, commending the contributions of all stakeholders, including the Presidency and the Forum of State E.S. He emphasized the importance of early payment and registration to avoid last-minute inconveniences. Pilgrims were also advised to adhere to Saudi guidelines and the timelines set for the pilgrimage.
