A brazen attack on Kankara General Hospital by suspected armed bandits has left two persons injured and three kidnapped. The attack, which occurred on January 14, 2025, at about 8:20 pm, was repelled by the police, but not before the bandits escaped with three hostages.
The injured victims, Dr. Murtala Saleh and Kamala Suleiman, are currently receiving medical attention and are in stable condition.
The Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, has condemned the attack and ordered an intensified manhunt for the assailants.
An investigation is ongoing, and further developments will be communicated in due course.
