Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has reiterated the commitment of his administration towards fulfilling all the campaign promises it made to citizens of the State.
Radda said his administration is not oblivious of the masses' expectation on his government, noting that the task of building a 'New Katsina' is a noble project demanding the collective support of the entire people of the State.
The Governor stated this in a message of appreciation to Katsina citizens for their support and prayers on the occasion of his 100 days in office.
He said: "The journey has not been smooth sailing for our administration. Nevertheless, we are proud of the modest achievements our government has recorded in the last 100 days.
"We are gradually laying the foundation for a New Katsina, where our people will have the opportunity to realize their ultimate and divine purpose in life".
Radda explained that some significant strides have been recorded by his administration in terms of driving vital reforms aimed at repositioning the Katsina public service, together with its education, agriculture, water, security and health sectors.
"We have also done a lot to give Katsina MSMEs a new lease of life. Right now, our Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, is being boosted ," he said.
The Katsina Chief Executive revealed that his administration has since adopted both kinetic and non-kinetic measures for tackling banditry and general insecurity affecting the State, calling on citizens to always furnish the government and security agencies with credible intelligence about criminal elements.
Governor Radda said his administration has already secured the support of international organizations and donor agencies towards accelerating Katsina's development and socio-economic progress.
"As such, I call on all and sundry to support our government and continue to pray for its success. Criticize us constructively whenever you notice that we are derailing," he said.
