The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has raised concerns over the rising cases of vandalism targeting power transmission installations across the country. The company emphasized that the damaging consequences of these acts extend beyond its operations, affecting the nation's entire electricity supply chain.
Describing vandalism as a senseless act, TCN highlighted its detrimental impact on Nigeria's infrastructure and called for collective action to address the menace. While the organization is taking proactive steps to curb these acts, it urged citizens to join hands in safeguarding critical national assets.
"Together, we can protect the infrastructure that powers our nation," the company stated, appealing for public support to end the recurring sabotage.
The TCN also reiterated its commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of electricity nationwide, despite the challenges posed by vandals.
