The Katsina State Government has taken a crucial step towards implementing a new N70,000 minimum wage for public servants. This development follows the inaugural meeting of the Minimum Wage Committee, attended by Comrade Hussaini Hamisu 'Yanduna, Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) for Katsina State, and led by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Falalu Bawale.
During the meeting, held at the office of the Head of Civil Service, Comrade Hamisu expressed his appreciation for the committee's formation, acknowledging the state’s longstanding commitment to labor rights. "Katsina has always been at the forefront of implementing crucial policies," he remarked, adding confidence in the government’s dedication to ensuring fair wages.
