Prof. Usman Assumes Office as NAHCON's Chair

The Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullah Saleh Usman, officially resumed office following his confirmation by the Senate. His resumption comes after a brief medical trip, marking the start of his substantive leadership at the commission.
Professor Usman, who has held various key positions in the public sector, was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. With his vast experience in Hajj operations, he is expected to guide the commission through this transitional phase effectively.
During a reception held in his honor, NAHCON’s Commissioner of Finance, Prince Aliu Abdulrazaq, expressed delight over the chairman’s assumption of office and called for maximum cooperation from the staff to ensure the commission's success and realization of its mission and vision.
The Secretary to the Commission, Dr. Rabiu Abdullahi Kontagora, also welcomed Professor Usman, commending the dedication and hard work of the commission's staff, who are confident in his leadership.
