On Wednesday the 22nd May 2024 the Nigeria military through  it's Defence Headquarter' s spokesman, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba  issued a press statement denouncing an alleged interview by the Katsina state governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda where he allegedly accused the military of aiding and abetting terrorism activities in the state.

Certainly that interview by the governor with the Channels Television was ill timed and ill advised. We understand the governor's frustration with the lingering insecurity in the state. But this is not how to go about it

Blueinknews concluded that going by this media gaffe the governor's media handlers have failed. There are issues that can be handled without going public. He ought to have approach those concern to address the issues.

The military surely need to be worried by the allegations. The military since the outbreak of banditry nearly two decades ago have sacrifice a lot for the state and it's people.

It is on record that a lot of men and officers were killed in the patriotic effort of keeping the state safe. It was only recently that some soldiers were killed in Mallamawa village in Faskari Local government while a major and many others were also killed.

The governor should remember that  these fallen heroes have families, wives and children. It will not be good to honor them with these allegation.

Most of them have left the comfort of their homes sleeping on the roadd and in the bushes just to make sure the people of katsina state are safe.

The governor and his media handlers need to wake up before a monumental damage is done to his reputation and the state at large

I strongly believe that should the military withdraw we may not have a state to govern.

We urged the governor to retract his statement and make peace with the defence headquarters.
