MPA Urges Ministry Staff to Embrace Service Delivery Principles

*Abuja, January 24, 2024* - Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police Affairs, has emphasized the importance of understanding the philosophy and principles of service delivery to effectively carry out the ministry's mandates. Speaking at a sensitization workshop in Abuja, Dr. Sani-Gwarzo highlighted the need for public service reform initiatives to enhance efficiency.
During the workshop for officers on Salary Grade Level 10-14, Dr. Sani-Gwarzo stressed the significance of Nigeria's commitment to the *Service Compact with All Nigerians*, signaling a dedication to improving governance processes. He urged civil servants to uphold positive values, transparency, and accountability, emphasizing the role of stakeholders in achieving the ministry's vision.
In his commitment to utilizing the *SERVICOM* platform, the Permanent Secretary aims to bring about positive change, moving towards a productive, result-driven civil service for accelerated national development. Participants were encouraged to actively engage in the presentations, fostering a culture change that would lead to qualitative service delivery.
Mr. Mshelbwala Ibrahim Musa, Director of Reform Coordination and Service Improvement, outlined the SERVICOM framework's role in driving reform, innovation, and improvement efforts within the ministry. The initiative aims to identify and address service gaps, promoting transparency and accountability.
Mrs. Ngozi Akinbodewa, Head of Operations (SERVICOM), emphasized the objective of institutionalizing a culture of continuous performance improvement and citizen-centered focus in MDAs. The *Service Compact with All Nigerians* seeks to foster an open and transparent approach, ensuring citizens understand organizational service delivery approaches.
Bolaji O. Kazeem, Deputy Director (Press & Public Relations Unit), captured the event with participants during the sensitization workshop. The engagement showcased the commitment of the Ministry of Police Affairs to enhance service delivery and embrace a new paradigm of a world-class civil service.
