Governor Dauda Lawal Unveils Transformative Projects in Zamfara's Kauran Namoda Local Government
In a momentous event on Thursday, Governor Dauda Lawal inaugurated vital initiatives in Kauran Namoda local government, affirming the imminent rebirth of Zamfara. The governor's visit followed the launch of agricultural assets distribution in Zamfara North, commencing from the Shinkafi local government area.
According to Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor's spokesperson, the commissioned projects in Kauran Namoda are integral to the administration's rescue mission. Notable among them are three forthcoming vocational centers strategically positioned in the state's senatorial zones: Gusau LGA for the Central zone, Kauran Namoda LGA for the North, and Gummi LGA for the West.
Governor Lawal underscored his commitment to campaign promises during the commissioning, focusing on education as a top priority. The newly commissioned skills acquisition and vocational center at the Government Technical College in Kauran Namoda boasts six classrooms, a laboratory, two workshops, a computer room, and staff offices.
Addressing the gathering, the governor emphasized the collaborative effort of all stakeholders in revamping Zamfara's educational system. Other commissioned projects include a Women's Development Centre, Tsangaya schools, and the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the General Hospital in Kauran Namoda.
The Women's Development Centre, poised to be a women's empowerment hub, will be equipped with modern tools. Governor Lawal also laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the General Hospital, pledging to staff it with qualified healthcare professionals. Additionally, the Tsangaya Islamic School was inaugurated, marking the commencement of similar schools across all three senatorial zones, aimed at modernizing the Tsangaya Islamic School system and expanding educational opportunities.
