Zaharaddeen Ishaq Abubakar Katsina Times 

In a press conference held at the Katsina State Police Command Headquarters on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police Aliyu Abubakar Musa shared the achievements of the command in the year 2023. Despite facing challenges, the command made significant strides in tackling banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, and other criminal activities in the state. CP Musa expressed gratitude to Allah, the Katsina state government, and the Inspector General of Police for their support.

Key Accomplishments:

- 1,627 suspects arrested in connection with 938 reported cases.

- 855 cases charged to court for prosecution.

- Arrest of 258 suspected armed robbers, 64 kidnappers, 176 murder suspects, and 369 suspects involved in rape/sodomy.

- Rescue of 171 kidnapped victims and 67 human trafficking victims.

- Neutralization of 17 suspected kidnappers.

- Recovery of firearms, ammunition, stolen vehicles, and other exhibits.

CP Musa urged unrepentant criminals to surrender and warned of impending arrests. He acknowledged the cooperation of the press and called for continued support from the public in the fight against crime.
