Former Governor Barrister Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State received a prestigious honorary award at Umaru Musa 'Yar'adua University, acknowledged for his outstanding contributions to the nation and the state of Katsina. In a statement, Dikko Radda lauded Shema as "A Man Who Sacrificed His Life For the Nation and Katsina state."

Representing Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda, Deputy governor Hon. Faroq Lawal Jobe conveyed the governor's deep respect for Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, recognizing him as a person of integrity and an exemplary leader. The honor meeting, orchestrated by the Faculty of Law, served as a platform to express gratitude for the former governor's significant impact.

Governor Radda highlighted Dr. Shema's governance from 2007 to 2015, noting his expertise and substantial contributions, particularly in the realms of Education and Youth, stating, "Dr. Shema governed Katsina state with unparalleled know-how."

Expressing appreciation for the honor, Barrister Ibrahim Shema commended Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda's professional governance style and unwavering commitment to the state's progress.

During the event, Dr. Sirajo, Head of the Department of International Law at Nile University, delivered an insightful paper on the Origin of Katsina State Education. Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Binta Dalhat Danladi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Shehi Salihu Muhammad, Professor Muhammad Arsalan Muhammad of the Islamic Law Department at ABU University, Professor Abdulrazaq Na Allah from Abuja University, Sebastine T. Hon. SAN, Dr. Shamsuddeen Bello, and Muhammad Yusuf Abubakar, Registrar UMYU, enriched the occasion with their perspectives.

Concluding the event, dignitaries conducted a thorough tour of the Faculty of Law building at the university, assessing its state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
