President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that ongoing
reforms under his administration will continue to strengthen security,
stabilize the economy, and foster national prosperity.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message released Tuesday, Tinubu
acknowledged persistent security challenges but highlighted recent successes,
including the elimination of a wanted ISIS leader.
“Despite the best efforts of our security agencies,
terrorists and bandits still attack some communities. I assure you: you are
neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of
evil,” he said.
The president described Eid-el-Kabir as a festival of
sacrifice, compassion, and unity, urging Muslims to pray for peace and national
cohesion. He emphasized that Nigeria is on a path of “reconstruction and
renewal” through difficult but necessary reforms.
Tinubu expressed satisfaction that sacrifices made by
citizens over the past three years are yielding results, citing a more stable
economy and growing investor confidence.
“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is
here,” he declared.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing
in security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development, while
calling on Nigerians to support the less privileged and strengthen national
unity.
Tinubu concluded by wishing Nigerians a peaceful and blessed
Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
