The Katsina Vocational Training Centre, established by the late MD Yusuf, in collaboration with All for Peace Organisation and with the support of the Musawa Local Government Council, organized an important peacebuilding training aimed at promoting and sustaining lasting peace within communities.
The Katsina Vocational Training Centre provided the largest share of the funding for the program through support received from the Paracha family in Abuja for the implementation of similar initiatives in Katsina State. The All for Peace Organisation( APO) provided experienced facilitators who conducted the training sessions, while the Musawa Local Government Council provided the venue and other necessary logistical support. The Musawa Emirate Council also contributed financially toward the success of the event.
The training was held on Saturday, June 16, 2026, and attracted community leaders from different parts of Musawa Local Government Area. Security personnel, traditional rulers, representatives of farmers and herders, civil society organizations, and a women’s association for persons with special needs also attended the event.
The program focused on training, exchange of ideas, and identifying practical ways to strengthen peace and social harmony in the Musawa area. Participants outlined strategies and action plans aimed at ensuring sustainable peace in the region, while reaffirming their commitment to implementing the recommendations reached during the discussions in a careful and organized manner.
The meeting ended successfully in an atmosphere of peace, satisfaction, and mutual understanding among participants. Stakeholders also called on other local government areas to emulate Musawa by organizing similar peacebuilding programs to promote harmony and stability in their communities.
