Charges Officer to Sustain Momentum in Fight Against Drug Trafficking
The Katsina State Governor, Mal Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated a distinguished son of the state, Hassan Sani Abubakar, on his promotion to the rank of Assistant Commander-General of Narcotics (ACGN) in the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The Governor described the elevation as a well-deserved recognition of dedication, discipline, and years of meritorious service in the fight against narcotic drugs and related offences, noting that it marks yet another milestone for Katsina State.
Governor Radda expressed pride in the accomplishment of the officer, an indigene of Malumfashi Local Government Area, who joined the NDLEA in 1995 as Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II (ASN II) and rose steadily through the ranks.
ACG Hassan Sani Abubakar has served in several key capacities, including Commander of Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano; State Commander, NDLEA Katsina State Command; and Zonal Commander, Zone 6, Kaduna, where he supervised operations across Kaduna and Katsina States.
"This elevation is a testament to the quality of human capital that Katsina State continues to produce. ACG Hassan Sani Abubakar has demonstrated exceptional professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national service," the Governor stated.
He added, "This achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a source of pride and inspiration to the people of Katsina State, particularly young people who aspire to serve with honour and integrity."
Governor Radda urged the newly promoted officer to see his elevation as a call to greater responsibility, especially in intensifying efforts against illicit drug trafficking and protecting society.
The Governor assured him of the continued support and prayers of the Katsina State Government as he assumes higher responsibilities at the national level.
On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, Governor Radda wished him continued success and impactful service in his new rank.
