…Stakeholders Praises Gov Infrastructure Projects


Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has flagged off the reconstruction of the 38-kilometre Bindawa–Dallaje–Doro–Giremawa–Duwan Junction Road in Bindawa and Mani Local Government Areas.


Speaking at the flag-off in Bindawa, Governor Radda said the road is a critical part of his Building Your Future Agenda, aimed at improving access to markets, agricultural areas and essential services. 


“The poor condition of this road has affected the movement of people and socioeconomic activities in our communities. It is therefore imperative for us to take decisive action to restore this important road to a condition that meets the needs of our people,” the Governor stressed. 


He noted that his administration has delivered major roads and bypasses in Katsina, Daura, Funtua and Malumfashi, alongside rural corridors like Shargalle-Dutsi-Ingawa, Kankia-Dangamau-Kusada, and Tashar Bala-Sayau-Rafin Iwa-Sabuwa, with 12 dams also constructed to support irrigation.


The Governor charged contractor, Mothercat Construction Company, to deliver quality work within the promised 10 months and urged benefiting communities to cooperate for timely completion.

Earlier, Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, Engr. Sani Magaji Ingawa, said the Ministry will ensure strict supervision and quality control. He charged the contractor, engineers and ministry personnel to maintain high standards and deliver a durable road. 


In their remarks, Chairman of Bindawa LGA, Hon. Badaru Musa, and District Head of Mani, Alh. Umar Babani Isah, commended the Governor for taking development to the grassroots and appealed for more interventions.


Managing Director of Mothercat, Mr. Marun, thanked the State Government for the trust and assured of quality delivery according to specifications.


In the same vein, Hajia Jamilau Abdu Mani Mai Goyo, APC federal house of representatives candidate, Mani-Bindawa Constituency presented four brand new vehicles Mani and Bindawa communities. 


The event had in attendance government officials, traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders, security personnel among others.
