‘We’ll Go House to House for Tinubu’: Radda Launches Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of 2027

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has vowed to lead a door-to-door campaign across the state to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Radda made the declaration on Sunday at the People’s Square in Katsina during an endorsement rally organised by a coalition of more than 4,000 political groups and associations in support of his re-election bid and that of President Tinubu.

Addressing the gathering in Hausa, the governor said the planned grassroots campaign would take the achievements of the APC-led federal and state governments directly to residents across communities, wards and local government areas.

He said the objective was to ensure that voters were adequately informed about the policies and programmes of the administrations while strengthening the party’s support base ahead of the elections.

Radda maintained that the APC’s success in 2027 would largely depend on the ability of its members to remain united, engage voters directly and maintain constant contact with people at the grassroots.

“We remain firm and determined to ensure APC victory. We, members of the APC, like and love our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and we are going to vote for him in 2027, Insha Allah,” he told the supporters.

The governor particularly challenged youths in Katsina State to take an active role in the mobilisation campaign, urging them to go from house to house to canvass support for Tinubu, himself and other APC candidates contesting legislative positions.

He described youths as the backbone of the party’s campaign structure and pledged to work with them to take the APC’s message and record of achievements to communities across the state.

According to Radda, the campaign would extend beyond the presidential contest to senators, members of the House of Representatives and state House of Assembly candidates, with party supporters expected to mobilise voters from the top of the ballot to the bottom.

The governor also used the occasion to emphasise the importance of unity within the APC, describing the party in Katsina as one indivisible family.

He urged party leaders, supporters and political stakeholders to avoid actions and statements capable of creating unnecessary tension, stressing that the party must approach the 2027 elections with a united voice.

Radda further appealed to APC members to conduct their political activities peacefully and maintain political tolerance as campaigns intensify.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Ya’u Umar Gwajo-Gwajo, said more than 4,000 political groups and associations had endorsed both Tinubu and Radda for the 2027 elections.

The endorsement, he said, demonstrated the groups’ confidence in the leadership of the President and the Katsina governor as the APC begins to strengthen its political structure ahead of the polls.
