The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially launched its campaign for the Katsina Municipal Chairmanship and 12 councillorship seats ahead of the upcoming local government elections in Katsina State. The event took place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Masussuka Ground, Kofar Soro, Katsina, drawing a large crowd of party supporters and stakeholders.

The gathering witnessed the presence of key APC figures, including party executives, political leaders, and stakeholders committed to advancing democracy. During the event, the party’s flag was formally handed over to the APC chairmanship candidate, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude, along with the 12 councillorship candidates, signaling the party’s readiness for the local government elections slated for February 15, 2025.

In his address after receiving the party flag, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude called on the people of Katsina to support his candidacy, pledging to prioritize initiatives that would benefit youths and women, whom he described as the backbone of democracy.

"Indeed, youths and women are the pillars of societal progress. My administration will focus on empowering them to ensure sustainable development," he stated.

Hon. Isah also urged all APC members and supporters to turn out in large numbers on election day to secure victory for the party.

"This is the time for unity and collective action. We must not allow any opposition party to outshine us. I call on every loyal APC member to come out and vote massively for our party," he emphasized.

The campaign event was marked by enthusiasm and solidarity, as party loyalists reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring APC’s success in the forthcoming elections.
