The Katsina State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has expressed deep condolences to the government and people of the state over the death of former Nigerian President, General Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), who passed away recently in London.

In a statement issued on Monday, July 14, 2025, the Agency described Buhari as a national icon whose life reflected patriotism, integrity, and selfless service to the nation. It prayed for Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest and forgive his shortcomings.

As part of tributes to the late president, the NOA reminded all public and private institutions in Katsina State to comply with Federal Government directives by flying the national flag at half-mast, as a mark of respect.

Furthermore, the agency instructed its Chief Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMOs) in all Local Government Areas to ensure compliance with the directives and monitor institutions accordingly.

The NOA also called on citizens, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from the former president’s legacy by upholding the values of patience, patriotism, honesty, and hard work.

The statement was signed by Mustapha Labo, Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the State Director.
