The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has confirmed the successful completion of the 2025 Hajj airlift operation by three designated airlines: Air Peace, UMZA Aviation, and Max Air.
In a statement signed by the Commission's spokesperson, Fatima Sanda Usara, NAHCON announced that the airlift by Air Peace and UMZA was concluded on Saturday, May 24, while Max Air completed its operations on Sunday, May 25, having transported pilgrims from Katsina and Kano States.
According to NAHCON, Saudi-based airline FlyNas is still actively involved in the Hajj operation. It is currently airlifting pilgrims from Sokoto State and is scheduled to move to Kebbi State on May 26 to transport the remaining pilgrims. The airline is expected to return to Nigeria on May 29 to carry high-ranking officials and NAHCON personnel yet to depart from Kebbi State.
NAHCON has urged all intending pilgrims who have been issued visas to ensure they report to the designated airports promptly to avoid missing their flights.
The Commission commended the participating airlines for their professionalism and strict adherence to schedule, which it said contributed significantly to the success, cleanliness, and efficiency of this year’s Hajj operation.
NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, including Commission staff, state welfare boards, and pilgrims for their cooperation and understanding throughout the process.
The Commission assured that updates will continue to be provided until the entire airlift exercise is concluded.
