Nigeria is a country currently afflicted with six main misfortunes (tragedies). These are, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, many of the governors, many more of the Assembly (National and State) members, majority of the cabinet members, ALL members of the present infamous CABAL, and lastly, Seyin Tinubu, the (unconstitutionally known) First Son.
The misfortunes are not necessarily in that order, as the president and his son Seyin are the most insidious of the lot, but so ‘numbered’ because of the fact that the First Son is a Nigerian creation, which is nowhere mentioned in the country’s 1999 Constitution, as amended.
Sheyin Bola Ahmed Tinubu, (who parades himself as Nigeria’s unconstitutional First Son), not only enjoys his father’s position as the number one citizen in the country, but also lords it over majority of the poor hapless citizens of the country, who includes the President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
The power drunk Seyin, willingly assisted by the sycophantic Minister of Youths Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande Wisdom and the Managing Director of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Malam Salisu AbdulHamid Denbos, allegedly first offered the students’s boss the sum of N100 million to support the clueless and massively CORRUPT Nigerian number one citizen. But on his refusal to do as was demanded of him, the so called First Son threatened to order the Inspector General of Police to kill him, and if the IGP refuses to comply, he would have him sacked from the post, boasting that “nothing will be done” if he was killed.
An unknown group (obviously hurriedly made up and paid), warned the ‘factional’ leader of the National students “not to tarnish the good name and image” of the First Son. Where Seyin made the good name and image, the unheard and unknown group did not say.
The First Son, who looks like anyone but his supposed biological father, is not exactly an oil painting when it comes to the looks department, to the point that a country would be proud to be associated with him, anyway. He is anything but that, which probably explains the permanent beards on his mug.
Nigeria is one of the few countries in the world that parades THIEVES as RULERS, and who strut everywhere in the land recognised ONLY by their own type, many of whom rejoice at the misfortune of millions of their fellow compatriots who live in abject hunger, misery and poverty.
The opportune minority of the people are in their element when they ‘donate’ to, or ‘sponsor’, a negligible number of their misruled people to, or for, some exotic courses, which they would have otherwise gotten from the government, had their Commonwealth not been pilfered by majority of the former (ruling elites).
Under the present government, Nigeria has become a country of perpetual hardship for majority of her citizens, many of whom just manage to exist in the country. It is a country which keeps on borrowing billions from the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) “to cushion the impact of the economic reforms on the citizens”, but results are NEVER felt by the citizens, or seen on the ground on its shores.
The impact of the endless economic reforms are only seen on the President, on the First Lady, on members of the moribund National Assembly (NASS), on members of the CABAL, and on the First Son, who has the Presidential planes at his disposal, which he uses (always filled with billions of Naira), and drives in a very long convoy, as if he is an elected top official. The people so mentioned live very ostentatiously, as if there is absolutely NO suffering in Nigeria.
The ministry that is supposed to supply electricity, which is the reason for the unending increase in tariff, is only supplying DARKNESS for the customers, some of whom have resorted to the use of solar panels to power their homes. My house is not a factory, and has only four (4) bedrooms, and two small rooms, but was charged N47,000 (47k) for the DARKNESS every month.
It is no different on the INSECURITY front, where Boko Haram, Lakurawa, Bandits and other criminals, daily massacre ordinary citizens, but the regime keeps on mouthing the victory that no one sees but its high members. Some of them are even alleged to be sponsors or beneficiaries of the criminality because of the benefits they are said to derive from it.
The so called Nigerian rulers and some of their cronies’s overbearing ambition is to build or possess the best houses in Nigeria, and in some foreign cities such as Washington DC, New York City, London, Paris, Mumbai, etcetra (etc).
But no matter how much of the Commonwealth they pilfer, they will never come near building or possessing the high tech XANADU 2.0 in Washington DC, built by multi billionaire Bill Gates, at the ‘mere’ cost of $130 million. They will also be able to own the Sky House in New York City, which costs another ‘mere’ $150 million.
Likewise, the Buckingham Palace in London will be way out of their thieving reach, as it is estimated to cost about $1.5 billion, to house the British monarchy. Even the Villa Leopoldo In the French Riviera, which is estimated to cost $736 million, they will only be able to ogle either in reality or in picture.
No less way OUT of their reach is Mukesh Ambani’s Antilla Skyscraper of a mansion. It is said to cost a staggering $2billion, Asia’s most expensive and lavishly appointed residential house for him and his small family of four (4), plus house helps, of course.
Even in Nigeria who among them, including the one who was declared as the third most CORRUPT leader in the world at the end of the year 2024, by Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) in December of the same year, have stolen enough to build a house which inside was made of 18 carat gold, like did Alhaji Maideribe of Maiduguri (now deceased)?
Meanwhile, the case of Very Dark Man and GTBANK can but only happen under the present CORRUPT regime of President Tinubu. With absolutely NO reason whatsoever, the so called big bank (GTB) will just decide to CHARGE its small (defenceless) customers monies they never owed the bank. If a poor customer tries to protest, the person will get the Very Dark Man-treatment, ordered by the bank.
And nothing anyone can do about it because of the impunity of those in the position of authority under the present number one citizen. Those who have the wherewithal, can literally get away with murder, and nothing will be done about it in the land of ‘anything’ can happen.
I am an indirect victim of the bank’s (GTB) scam. Just TODAY, N5,000 (5K) was deducted from the account of my son, for no reason whatsoever. Now, if a poor person like my son, dares to complain, the bank will have him (and possibly all members of his immediate family) arrested and held indefinitely by the Police.
May God bring ease and relief to the helpless Nigerians, whose current leaders would rather the status quo remained, so that it would be ‘business as usual’ for them.
