The Katsina State Safety and Road Traffic Authority (KASSAROTA) has issued a strong warning to motorists and Keke Napep riders against the hazardous practice of overloading, particularly among Golf drivers.
Director General of KASSAROTA, Major Garba Yahaya Rimi (Retired), expressed deep concern over the increasing disregard for traffic regulations, emphasizing that overloading poses a serious risk to lives and property.
Rimi urged drivers and commercial tricycle operators to adhere to safety guidelines, avoid endangering passengers and other road users, and face strict disciplinary actions if caught overloading.
KASSAROTA will collaborate with security agencies to enforce measures against violators, ensuring public safety and compliance with traffic laws. Motorists are advised to prioritize safety and cooperate with authorities.
The public is encouraged to report cases of overloading or reckless driving for swift action.
