Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has declared Kafur Local Government as a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC), rallying residents to sustain their massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Governor Radda made the declaration at the Tinubu/Dikko Campaign Rally in Kafur, where he commended the people for their massive turnout and consistent show of love and solidarity.
"Whenever I visit Kafur, you come out in large numbers to welcome me. Your love, respect and support have remained consistent, and I sincerely appreciate you," the Governor said.
He noted that Kafur has continued to demonstrate loyalty to the APC, expressing confidence that the area will deliver overwhelming votes for the party.
"Kafur is for the APC, for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for all our candidates. I thank you for standing with us and pray for lasting peace, security and prosperity in the area," he added.
Earlier, Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, described the rally as a homecoming, recalling that former Governor Aminu Bello Masari hails from Kafur.
"Today, we have come home. The impressive turnout reflects the political foundation and enduring relationships established by former Governor Aminu Bello Masari in this community and across Katsina State," Dangiwa said.
He commended party leaders, elders, youths and stakeholders for their participation and urged them to preserve unity and avoid divisions as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
In their separate remarks, Senator Muntari Dandutse, Hon. Shuaibu Wakili (Mai Shinkafa), APC State Chairman Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, Hon. Bature Masari and Kafur Local Government Chairman Hon. Surajo Bature declared that Kafur is 100 per cent APC and called for sustained mobilisation for all APC candidates.
The campaign exercise was graced by Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, Co-Chairman of the Campaign Council Dr. Mustapha Inuwa, Deputy Director-General Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Secretary-General Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, and other party leaders and stakeholders.
