The Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), Katsina State Chapter, has appointed Mustapha Kabir as Chairman of its Independent Electoral Committee (IMEC) for the 2025 state elections.
The appointment, confirmed in a letter dated 25th July 2025 and signed by State Executive Chairman, Comrade Lawal Rabe Lemoo, also names Umar Ayuba, Yahanasu Ahmed, Bilkisu Umar AU, and Ahmadu Sadisu as committee members.
The committee is tasked with conducting a credible, free and fair election, in line with the MOPPAN constitution, and organizing the swearing-in of newly elected members.
Kabir acknowledged and accepted the appointment in writing on 27th July 2025. His selection was based on merit and his significant contributions to the growth of the association and the Northern Nigerian film industry.
