In a series of daring rescue operations, the Katsina State Police Command has foiled multiple kidnap attempts, rescued 30 hostages, and recovered an AK47 rifle.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the command's operatives raided a bandits' hideout between Dutsinma and Safana LGAs, rescuing seven hostages kidnapped from two villages in Dutsinma LGA on August 17.

The operatives also foiled three simultaneous attacks on Jibian Maje, Nasarawa, and Lankwasau villages in Jibia LGA, rescuing three kidnapped victims who sustained minor injuries.

In another operation, the police intercepted bandits attempting to escape with 20 kidnapped victims and five rustled cows in Yaba village, Malumfashi LGA, rescuing all the victims and recovering the stolen animals.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the operatives for their bravery and reiterated the command's commitment to ensuring a safer Katsina State. He urged the public to continue supporting the command with timely information to combat crime and criminality.
