Katsina Deploys 10 New Armored Vehicles, Strengthens Joint Security to Combat Banditry

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has renewed his administration's effort to combat banditry and criminality in the state with the launch of ten brand new armored personnel carriers (APCs). This follows the recent attack in Burdugau village, Kankara local government, that reportedly claimed the lives of thirteen people.
Governor Radda during the launch at the state's government house on Monday, reaffirms his unwavering commitment to ensuring the total elimination of banditry and criminality in Katsina State.
The new APCs he said will be deployed specifically for joint security clearing operations targeting bandit hideouts across the eight most affected local governments in the State.
While describing the recent attack as a setback, Governor Radda expressed confidence in the ongoing joint security efforts. He stated that for the past seven months, success is gradually being recorded "We wouldn't claim total elimination but significant progress has been made since the combined efforts began," Radda said.
Also speaking at the launch,
Dr. Nasiru Mua'azu Danmusa, the Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, emphasized that the vehicles demonstrate the government's dedication to protecting its citizens.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, Ibrahim Sa'ad, expressed gratitude for the government's commitment. He expressed confidence that the new vehicles, coupled with the collaborative approach, will significantly aid in the fight against the state's security challenges.
