
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has led a State Government delegation to Malumfashi Local Government Area to condole with the family, friends and associates of the late Senator Mandiya.
The visit was to express the government’s sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family and pray for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, said the delegation was in Malumfashi to convey the condolences of the State Government and people of Katsina.
The condolence session commenced with an prayer led by the Katsina State APC Chairman, Hon. Bishir Gambo Saulawa.
Speaking during the visit, Governor Radda described death as an inevitable reality for every human being.
"Death is an inevitable reality that every human being must face. As Muslims, we are reminded that life belongs to Allah and to Him we shall all return," Governor Radda said.
He urged the living to continue praying for those who have passed away.
"Our responsibility is to continue praying for those who have departed and ask Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them eternal rest," he said.
Governor Radda recalled the contributions of the late Senator Mandiya to public service, particularly as Chief of Staff to former Governor Aminu Bello Masari and later as Senator representing the Funtua Senatorial Zone.
"The late Senator Mandiya made valuable contributions to the development of Katsina State and served the people in different capacities," the Governor said.
He prayed Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and admit his soul into Jannatul Firdausi.
"We pray Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds and grants him Aljannatul Firdausi," Governor Radda said.
The Governor also urged the family to take solace in Allah’s will and continue to pray for the repose of his soul.
The delegation included the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura; SSG, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari; Head of Service, Alhaji Mas’udu Mustapha Banye; members of the State Executive Council and other senior government officials.
Traditional rulers and community leaders, including the Galadiman Katsina and District Head of Malumfashi, Justice Sadiq Abdullahi Mahuta, also attended the condolence visit.
