Former Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, has been appointed Deputy Director-General, Parliamentarian Mobilisation, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
Masari’s appointment places him in charge of the mobilisation and coordination of legislators for the party’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He is among several prominent APC members appointed to the presidential campaign council, whose composition was announced on Saturday as the ruling party begins preparations for the 2027 elections.
Former Zamfara State Governor and Senator, Abdul’aziz Yari, was appointed Director-General of the campaign council.
Other members of the council include Tanimu Yakubu as Treasurer and Hadiza Bala as Assistant Secretary, while Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Engr. Muttaqa Rabe-Darma, was named North-West Coordinator.
Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari was appointed Deputy Director-General, Logistics and Operations, while Sheikh Abu Amar was named Deputy Director, Faith-Based Mobilisation II.
From Katsina State, Dr Shehu Garba Matazu was appointed Deputy Director, Extractive Industry Sector 3 Mobilisation, with Amina Rimi serving as Secretary of the sector.
Other Katsina figures listed include Hannatu Musawa as Director of Protocol, Alhaji Jabiru Tsauri as Director, Community Support Mobilisation, and Prof. Abdulaziz Mashi as Secretary, Community Support Mobilisation I.
Barrister Ibrahim Shema was also listed as a member of the council under the Legal Directorate.
The appointments are part of the APC’s broader mobilisation strategy as the party positions itself for the 2027 presidential and general elections.
The campaign council is expected to coordinate political mobilisation, legislative engagement and other campaign activities across the country.
