The name could be so sound, as sound as a ranged bell. Gwagware foundations was established as a non-governmental organization, solitarily by Alhaji Dikko Umar Radda, the present elected governor of Katsina State in 2016, when he was the then Chief of Staff of Katsina State Government House for the soul purpose of empowering lives, building better features to the needy, ensuring equal opportunities and accessibilities to all, foster peacefull co-existence to citizens of Katsina State, to promote self-reliaence and to assist people with sepecial needs. By now, Malam Dikko Umar Radda is the Chairman and grand patron of the Organization.
The aim of the Organization was to provide/upper assistance in monetary values or otherwise, with the following objectives: to assist the less previledge ones across the State in the areas of economic upliftment (poverty reduction), education and health - for assisting the needy, the destitutes and their many chronicles, people who are sick, people and students who could not pay for their school fees and to help the sick secure accessibility to medicine. The Organization’s head office was opened in Katsina city with other feeder offices opened in the other thirty-three (33) Local Government Areas of the State as the liason officers of the Organization.
To date, the Organization has recorded that over one hundred thousand (100,000) beneficiaries had benefited from it in the three areas of its objectives listed above. The Director-Geberal of the Organization is the proprietor himself, Dikko Umar Radda and other surbodinate staff attarched. From 2016 to 2023, the Chief executive officer of the Organization was one, Kabir Usman, Amoga. Then, from 2023 to date the Organization is being headed by one Yusuf Aliyu Musawa.
The, over ninety percent (90%) of sources of funding of the Organization comes from it’s initiator, Malam Dikko Radda with the remaiming sources of ten percent (10%) coming from other dignified, well-to-do people of the upper horizons.
The Organization’s headquarter was built in the year 2024 on Katsina-Daura road. In the Center, there are so many departments or sections – there is a central administrative section, there is a well-equiped conference room or hall. There are also other two sections for an advanced learning or education where Diploma and NCE certificates could be secured and another one for entrepreneurship and vocational training. There are also wards and attendants in the health sections.
