Sixteen prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have reportedly lost their lives in a fatal accident on Wednesday. The victims were travelling in an 18-seater bus when the crash occurred, leaving two other passengers with injuries.
The deceased were said to be graduates of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo State. They were reportedly among the 2025 Batch C Corps members posted to Gombe State for their one-year national service.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement, but the incident has thrown the university community and families of the victims into deep mourning.
