The management of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina State, has dissociated itself from an alleged international conference being advertised across social media platforms. The said event claims to be hosted in collaboration with FUDMA and Pleasant College of Advanced Studies, focusing on the songs of Hausa musician, Dauda Kahutu Rarara.

In a statement signed by the university’s Director of Information and Protocol, Nasiru M. Abdul, FUDMA clarified that it has no knowledge of, nor has it entered into, any form of collaboration with the mentioned institution or any other entity to host such a conference.

"The University Management is not aware and has not entered into any collaboration with the said Pleasant College of Advanced Studies, or any institution for that matter, to host the advertised international conference,” the statement read.

FUDMA urged members of the public, especially within academic circles, to disregard the advertisement and remain cautious. It warned that the university will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from participation in the alleged event.

The statement emphasized that the university maintains strict procedures for approving academic events and any engagement outside official channels should be viewed with suspicion.
