Says Katsina Is Witnessing a New Era of Planning, Progress, and People-Centered Governance

The National Coordinator of the African Union Development Agency–New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD), Hon.  Salisu Jabiru Tsauri, has extended warm congratulations to Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on the occasion of his second anniversary in office.

Tsauri, who once served as Chief of Staff to the Katsina State Government, described Governor Radda’s leadership as a “rare blend of vision, commitment, and action” — one that has redefined governance in the state and renewed the people's trust in public service.

“In just two years, Governor Radda has proven that true leadership begins with planning. But more than planning, he has delivered. From strategic infrastructure to critical social interventions, this administration has planted the seeds of a better tomorrow — and the results are already sprouting across our communities.”

Tsauri hailed the Governor for his focused and results-driven approach, highlighting key achievements that reflect the government’s developmental priorities:

Security-focused governance, through innovations like the establishment of the Community Watch Corps and deeper grassroots engagement to promote peace and safety.

Educational and Youth empowerment reforms, which are laying a solid foundation for Katsina’s future generation.

Massive infrastructure projects, including road construction and rehabilitation across urban and rural areas — improving access, boosting local economies, and connecting previously neglected communities.

Tsauri also noted support for farmers with better tools and training, and praised efforts to help poor families, orphans, and women through social welfare programs.

“As someone who once worked closely with His Excellency, I am not surprised by the scale and speed of progress we’re seeing. Governor Radda is a man of focus — a governor who understands that sustainable development begins with deep, long-term thinking,” Tsauri stated.

He further praised the Governor’s ability to balance infrastructural delivery with social investment, noting that under his watch, governance in Katsina has become more transparent, inclusive, and centered on the needs of ordinary citizens.

“The people of Katsina believe in this government because it speaks their language — not just with words, but with tangible results. They are hopeful, and they expect even more in the coming years. And rightly so.”

Tsauri reaffirmed his full support for the Radda administration and expressed his readiness — both personally and in his current national capacity — to collaborate in areas that align with AUDA-NEPAD’s strategic development goals.

“I am proud to identify with this government, and I remain ever ready to contribute wherever needed to advance its agenda for the people of Katsina State,” he said.

Tsauri concluded with a heartfelt prayer for continued strength, wisdom, and success for Governor Radda as he enters the second half of his tenure.
